Facebook has grown immensely as a platform and is now in 2nd place among the sites with the most traffic on the web. Just below, comes YouTube – the social video sharing platform.

Facebook is pushing on to be the leading provider of video this year, and advertisers have reported seeing an increase in reach when posting in the video format. Facebook has set out to conquer a bigger chunk of the web by putting videos in the center for users. Most of Facebook Page admins should have spotted this by now – with a dedicated pinned video right on top of your page.

Pin your videos: Facebook now allows you to pin your video content to the top of your page, to keep it from getting pushed down when you publish new content. We advise you to keep this spot for an introductory video for new users.

Targeted video content: We have long talked about targeting your content to your tailored audience on Facebook – but keep in mind that this is just as relevant when it comes to the content of your videos. Create videos that are tailored to fit your fanbase and give them something to engage with and respond to.

Customers may enjoy your video, but if they have no idea what to do after watching your video, your hard work will have been for nothing. It could be a coupon code, offers for discounts or something that can lead to a conversion that otherwise wouldn’t have happened.
